The Crimes of Mena

What actually went on in the woods of western Arkansas? The question is still relevant for what it may reveal about certain government operations during the time that Reagan and Bush were in the White House and Clinton was governor of Arkansas.

An interesting read!

Lake Erie UFOs Are Stars on YouTube

Lake Erie UFOs Are Stars on YouTube

By John Lasker Email 01.11.08 | 7:30 PM

Waves of UFO sightings over the waters of Lake Erie are earning the great lake a reputation as a UFO hot spot. But the lake's new popularity may have more to do with a string of popular videos on YouTube than sightings of little green men.

"It's a hot spot," declares local ufologist Aaron Clark about the beaches of Lake Erie near Cleveland, Ohio. "Some believe there's a UFO base on the bottom of the lake."

U.S. Navy ships harassed by Iran

WASHINGTON (AP) — Iranian boats harassed and provoked three American Navy ships in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, threatening to explode the vessels, U.S. officials said Monday.
In the most serious such incident in years, U.S. forces were on the verge of firing on the Iranian boats during the incident early Sunday, when the boats — believed to be from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's navy — turned and moved away, a Pentagon official said.

Defense Department spokesman Bryan Whitman called it a "serious incident." Another U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, called it "the most serious provocation of this sort that we've seen yet."

Iran's Foreign Ministry said Monday the confrontation was "something normal" and was resolved, suggesting the Iranian boats had not recognized the U.S. vessels. National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said the Bush administration urges Iranians "to refrain from such provocative actions that could lead to a dangerous incident in the future."

When It Comes To Metal, Smaller Is Stronger: Now Scientists Know Why

This is important!!!

ScienceDaily (Jan. 3, 2008) — As structures made of metal get smaller — as their dimensions approach the micrometer scale (millionths of a meter) or less — they get stronger. Scientists discovered this phenomenon 50 years ago while measuring the strength of tin "whiskers" a few micrometers in diameter and a few millimeters in length. Many theories have been proposed to explain why smaller is stronger, but only recently has it become possible to see and record what's actually happening in tiny structures under stress.

A New DNA Test Can ID a Suspect's Race, But Police Won't Touch It

Tony Clayton, a black man and a prosecutor who tried one of the Baton Rouge murder cases, concedes the benefits of the test: "Had it not been for Frudakis, we would still be looking for the white guy in the white pickup." Nevertheless, Clayton says he dislikes anything that implies we don't all "bleed the same blood." He adds, "If I could push a button and make this technology disappear, I would."
