Sun in Leo, Moon in Aquarius

You were born with the Sun in Leo and the Moon in Aquarius. This immediately shows a basic conflict between your individuality and your personality. Outwardly you are attracted to the uncommon and unorthodox. Internally you resent this irrational inclination for the unconventional because you are rather dignified and proud. The Sun in Leo gives you a commanding, powerful, and generous disposition, which is not in agreement with your personality. Your personality comes under the rulership of the Moon in Aquarius. You are seen by others as a freedom-loving, independent, radical person. However, your personality is limited, in that you often stress your own ideas to the exclusion of everything else. Your demands for absolute freedom and privacy are very insistent. Your life goals will be completely out of the ordinary. You will conduct studies of an unusual nature, very frequently going to the very old or the very new. The key to a better integration of your being lies in harmonizing the strong passionate nature of Leo with your thirst for the unusual, lent by Aquarius. In this harmony lies the secret of total spiritual evolution.

Ascendant in Aquarius, Uranus in the Seventh House

At the time of your birth the zodiacal sign of Aquarius was ascending in the horizon. Its ruler Uranus is located in the seventh house.

You were born with a natural disposition to be humane, sympathetic, original and refined in your dealings with others. Among your features is the ability to understand human nature in a sympathetic manner. Unfortunately, you do not always act upon your intuitions and may become rationalistic at times when swift and prompt determination is required.

The common Aquarian is good and kindly, but usually led astray by eccentric and bizarre companions.

Your tastes are refined and your discrimination keen. You have a natural inclination toward the esoteric and mystical side of life and you could develop some clairvoyant abilities. Basically you are a lover of freedom; in the realization of this desire you may go to extremes.

Although changeable in appearance, your life is guided by very definite and fixed principles, one of which is a constant demand for personal freedom. In love you are a strange character. You can easily be emotionally attracted to one person and yet unpredictably terminate relationships.

As an inventor you have no rival; your problem is that sometimes you lack the practical ability to implement your creations. Professionally you will be successful in any of the following fields of activity: modern science, electrical work, photography, archaeology, astrology, radio etc.

This position indicates that you are extroverted in your behavior. You thrust yourself forward to meet people. You will have many unpredictable romantic liaisons in which you will behave impulsively and irrationally. Your partner may be an uncommon person with a flash of genius.

It is not going to be easy to maintain happiness in your relationship. If you can exert some effort to better comprehend your partner and obtain the same co-operation, then your relationship will last throughout your life. Otherwise there is danger of separation.

Moon in the First House

The Moon is in the first house. This position indicates that you are strongly influenced by your feelings and moods.

Your awareness of yourself is influenced by your momentary feelings, and this perception is subject to rapid changes of mood and emotion. In time, you will learn to understand why you react as you do to various situations, and then you can begin to change your response patterns and take more control of your life.

Others sense your lack of emotional self-sufficiency and tend to get involved in your personal affairs, even if you try to prevent it. You express your sensitivity through an emotional need to nurture and be nurtured by others. While you would like to have guidance and supervision concerning your goals and objectives, it would be better to achieve your aims independently so that you will not feel obligated to others.

The advantage of this position lies in your ability to sense other people's needs and desires.

In fact, you have a calming effect on people who are under stress, and this makes you ideally suited for working with the public.

Sun in the Seventh House

The Sun was found in the seventh house at the time of your birth. Among other things, this means that your individuality is required to accomplish certain important developments in connection with associations and marriage. It appears, that you will be married to a rather proud but dignified individual, and much of all the progress that you will make in life will be a derivation of your relationship.

In any instance, you can expect throughout life the origination of lasting attachments and noble friendships.

Venus in the Seventh House

Venus was found in your seventh house at the time of birth. Regarding marriage and other intimate relationships this is one of the best influences existing. You have been promised a happy relationship with a very attractive, lovely, and pleasing person. You have the potential to derive both emotional and financial gain through this connection.

Your individuality is thrust toward the environment and this will lead to happiness as well as a psychological compensation for any disabilities. In your interaction with other human beings, there will be harmonious relationships.

You will achieve balance through sentimental affection, aesthetics, art, and relationships.

Saturn in the Twelfth House

Saturn was in the twelfth house at the time of birth. This planet may place many unpleasant and annoying obstacles in your life, and intensify the feelings you have about the limitations of your environment.

Your professional honor affects your feelings very much and you are well satisfied when things go well. Destiny may have to teach you to tell the difference between fact and fantasy more clearly.

Certain complexes nest in your subconscious and show up in your mind as hypersensitivity, wanting to be alone and to do things by yourself so no one will know how you feel. You need a bit of humor and self-confidence.

Drummers wanted to set world record at Christian festival

MILWAUKEE, Wis. Let there be drums.

Bill Sargent of Drummers for Jesus is inviting drummers
everywhere to help him set a new Guinness Book world record for
the most drummers playing at once.

The current record is 502. Sargent hopes to gather up to
one-thousand drummers.

The record-breaking attempt on August 13th will be part of
Powerfest -- a Christian music festival near Green Bay,
Wisconsin. Sargent says participating drummers who show up with a
drum set will get in free, and they don't have to be Christians.

He says they'll make a joyful noise, and just might register on
the Richter scale.

Village Market Story - thanks Mom!

In 1970, when I first developed M.S. symptoms, I lived in Shillington, near Reading, Pennsylvania. My employer's fear of chronic illness ended my career, but I still coordinated the cook and the housekeeper, drove my car and did my own shopping when I could.
There was a little market near home. The first time I went there, my balance and dexterity were affected and I dropped a can, which rolled across the floor. I had considerable trouble retrieving it, dropping it several times in my struggle. Once I had the can firmly in hand, I couldn't get up from my knees! One of the "bagboys" helped me.
I continued shopping but when it came time to "check out", the lines were pretty long. Well, wouldn't you know it, I lost my balance and those racks of candy and gum always placed near the check out lines was knocked off on the floor -- candy and gum scattering and rolling everywhere! I tried to pick it up, but kept losing my balance and dropping or spilling them again and again.
Seeing my distress, the owner/manager helped me up, got me through the checkout line and bagged my groceries. He took my car keys and drove my car right up to the door and loaded everything into the trunk for me!
I was so pleased that I returned again and again to that store.
Always, someone was there to help me. As I pushed the cart, and looked at an item, things appeared in it as if by magic. My helper checked me through the line immediately and always helped me to the car - often bringing the car up to the door for me.
Some years later I moved 10 miles away but I continued to come back to the same store regardless of the long drive. I always felt special there because of their help and courtesy. I told lots of friends about the little market but none reported the special treatment and made me feel almost as if I was making up a story. But over at least 12 -15 years I'd enjoyed shopping there.
About that time my teenaged daughter began to date a young man from town.
I heard them laughing in the other room and she called me, saying "Mom!
You've got to hear this!" The young man (I've forgotten his name after all these years) was beet red with embarrassment, spluttering:
"No, don't tell you mother! Please, don't!" She told me anyway, and much to his relief I fell to the floor laughing till the tears ran down my cheeks!
It seems that he'd just gotten a job at the little market where I liked to shop. Recently I'd been in and he was stocking shelves when the manager came over and said to him:
"See that lady over there? No matter what you are doing, leave it.
Help her. Open a new cash register. Take her groceries out of the cart.
Help her to the car or bring the car to the door."
"Why all the special care?" he asked his manager.
"Son, she's the town drunk and we want her in and out of here as fast as possible!"
Did I go back there to shop?
You bet!
Would you give up that kind of service?

Mystery 'sex change' has curious flocking to Myanmar monk-to-be - Yahoo! News

HLAING THAR YAR, Myanmar (AFP) - Thin Sandar, a chicken seller in Myanmar, had always dreamed of being a man. When she inexplicably grew a penis last month, the 21-year-old treated it as an awe-inspiring omen -- as have the thousands of stunned villagers who have traveled to a pagoda to see him.

"On the morning of the full moon day of June 21, I noticed my thing (sex organ) was not the same as before," Thin Sandar, who now goes by the male name Than Sein, told AFP in an interview at his home.

"And my breasts disappeared," Than Sein added. "So I called out and showed it all to my mom and dad. It was very strange."

Strange enough that he has attracted significant attention in this deeply superstitious country, where the unexplained can quickly be exalted to hold powerful spiritual significance.

People privately concede Than Sein is a hermaphrodite. Several medical experts have examined him, and he awaits test results from the central women's hospital.

But few have come forward with a medical explanation of the transformation as they await an official report by the health ministry, whose experts have also examined Than Sein.

"We can not say right now if she has really undergone a sudden gender change," said a township official who declined to be named, adding that Than Sein's birth certificate shows that he was born a girl.

"It can be confirmed when we receive the report from the health ministry, although some medical checkups have shown her to be a true man," he added.

Hermaphrodites, also known as intersexuals, are often born with ambiguous genitalia, or have both testicular and ovarian tissue in a single person.

Medical doctor Aye Sanda Khaing put it in layman's terms in a local journal: "Her penis appeared at the site of her clitoris," the doctor was quoted as saying.

Regardless of the official findings, local villagers and other curious Myanmar nationals are flocking to the Aung Myay Thar Yar pagoda, in this new satellite township 19 kilometers (12 miles) from Yangon, to see Than Sein for themselves and make donations to him or the temple.

Up to 400 gather at the pagoda each day, often in a courtyard under colorful umbrellas to ward off the sun's rays, waiting for the chance to talk with and touch Than Sein.

"I have never heard of anything like this, so I came to see him," 21-year-old housewife Thandar Win told AFP.

"If I was not married, then I too would want to become a man!"

When word spread of Than Sein's transformation, locals raced to his home to see for themselves. Authorities, sensing a possible security hazard -- and, perhaps, an opportunity -- hastily arranged for him to be moved to the pagoda to accommodate more visitors.

Than Sein appeared comfortable with the sudden attention in the new surroundings. Wearing a checkered longyi, the traditional Myanmar pants commonly worn by men, he sat on a rug in the pagoda's side building, flanked by his parents.

"I was so happy," father Kyaw Htay, 46, said about his son's developments. "I wanted other sons so they could offer themselves as Buddhist monks, but I had only two daughters."

Occasionally Than Sein stepped out to talk with excited visitors, who shook his hand, stroked his arm, and wished him well.

A Myanmar state television crew has already interviewed him and awaits the military junta's permission to air the broadcast nationwide.

As he waits for the final test results, Than Sein said he firmly believed he had been transformed, and would enter the monkhood for a period of time and seek spiritual contemplation and guidance before deciding whether to marry and raise a family.

"Whenever I went to the pagoda I prayed to become a man in my next life," he said, referring to the Buddhist concept of rebirth.

"Now I'm happy because my dream won't have to wait until my next life, it's already come true."

WorldCom's Ebbers Weeps at 25-Year Sentence - Yahoo! News

NEW YORK - Bernard Ebbers, who as the once-swaggering CEO of WorldCom oversaw the largest corporate fraud in U.S. history, wept in court Wednesday when a judge sentenced him to 25 years in prison — the toughest sentence yet in the string of recent corporate scandals.

Ebbers, now 63, would go to prison in October and not be eligible for release until he was 85. The sentence was handed down by Judge Barbara Jones of U.S. District Court in Manhattan three years after WorldCom collapsed in an $11 billion accounting fraud, wiping out billions of investor dollars.

"I find that a sentence of anything less would not reflect the seriousness of this crime," Jones said.

Ebbers sniffled audibly and dabbed at his eyes with a white tissue as he was sentenced. He did not address the court. His wife, Kristie Ebbers, cried quietly. Later, the two embraced as the courtroom emptied.

Jones ordered Ebbers to report to prison on Oct. 12. She said she would recommend Ebbers be designated to the federal prison in Yazoo City, Miss., close to his home.

Shuttle Launch!

For the first time since the Columbia mission ended tragically with the
loss of both the crew and shuttle on February 1, 2003, tomorrow on Wednesday
July 13, a shuttle mission will be launched from the Kennedy Space Center.

The Discovery will be manned by a seven person crew consisting of five Americans, one Australian and one Japanese.

Future shuttle missions will enable the completion of the International
Space Station. There are also still hopes of possible repairs to the Hubble Space
Telescope which would extend its life but NASA has not made any guarantees on this and the crucial repairs needed by the HST are not likely to take place.

Extensive repairs and improvements have been made on the Shuttle to improve its safety and undoubtedly the Discovery shuttle being launched tomorrow is safer than both the Challenger and Columbia shuttles which previously have ended in disaster.

Great efforts have been made to reduce the amount and size of foam falling off from the external tank. It was foam falling from the Columbia’s external tank that damaged the Shuttle and caused its destruction. Also, means have been added to better detect any possible damage from fallen foam and repair it.

But, although the danger has been reduced, the foam problem still exists and foam WILL fall off. The problem has not been solved and three out of fifteen recommendations by the Columbia Accident Investigation Board have not been carried out. According to N. Wayne Hale Jr., deputy manager of the shuttle program, "We have substantially reduced the hazard, but we haven't driven it to zero. No one could guarantee that."

SkyWatch is planning to provide coverage of the Discovery mission and
will be sending, if possible, information to its Lite and Extra subscribers on
shuttle passes that can be seen from their area.

Butch's double achievement award - thanks mom!

John the farmer was in the fertilized egg business. He had several
hundred young layers (hens), called pullets and eight or ten roosters,
whose job was to fertilize the eggs. The farmer kept records and any
rooster that didn't perform went into the soup pot and was replaced.

That took an awful lot of his time so he bought a set of tiny bells
and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone so John
could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now he could sit
on the porch and fill out an efficiency report simply by listening to the
bells.

The farmer's favorite rooster was old Butch, a very fine specimen
he was, too . But on this particular morning John noticed old Butch's bell
hadn't rung at all! John went to investigate. The other roosters were
chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing. The pullets, hearing the roosters coming,
would run for cover.

But to Farmer John's amazement, Butch had his bell in his beak, so
it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the
next one.

John was so proud of Butch, he entered him in the county fair and
Butch became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result...The judges not only awarded Butch the "No Bell Piece
Prize" but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well.

Clearly Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a
politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted
awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and
screwing them when they weren't paying attention?

ISTANBUL, Turkey - First one sheep jumped to its death. Then stunned Turkish shepherds, who had left the herd to graze while they had breakfast, watched as nearly 1,500 others followed, each leaping off the same cliff, Turkish media reported.
